An art book containing image boards, art boards, background paintings, character settings, and scene stills drawn during the production of the movie, along the flow of the story.

In addition to director Hayao Miyazaki's proposal, completed script for dubbing, and production timeline, there are interviews with the main staff members Yu Honda (animation director), Yoji Takeshige (art director), Noboru Yoshida (background), Atsushi Okui (director of photography), Shinya Ohira (original picture), Noriko Takaya (harmony), and others talking about the production process.

We traced the behind-the-scenes production of Studio Ghibli's longest production and the culmination of its visual art, using a vast amount of materials and original drawings.
